Having one centralized space for all of your storage pieces is also a great option in a small space. A storage rack with multiple bins and shelves is ideal for a small space. With bins of varying sizes, you can store toys of varying sizes without having to worry about them getting lost! Since the storage bins are removable, you can switch them around based on your child"s needs. And since the shelf itself isn"t huge, you can tuck it into a corner to make a play area. This is also great if you"re trying to maximize closet storage as well — you could easily fill it with clothes and accessories instead of toys.
Easy to put up, inexpensive and (usually) pretty easy to remove, wall stickers are a great alternative to wallpaper in a small kid"s bedroom. This is where those beloved minions can some into play, since stickers` peel-off properties means you can give in to their ever changing obsessions and just switch up the stickers as they grow up.
It`s going to be tough to set a color story for your newborn that`s going to be able to serve your child all the way through high school, so, think about colors that you can adapt as they grow older. A newborn`s nursery all decked out in soft, baby pink and cream could easily transition into soft pink with gray or navy as they get older. Just think about using colors that you can combine in new ways to keep the room age-appropriate as your kids get older. Also keep non-traditional color stories as options. We did a marvelous nursery a few years back all in sage green and pale yellow. Sometimes avoiding traditional pink and light blue can give the space a bit more longevity.
